Instructions

Brown the beef:
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned and cooked through, about 5 to 7 minutes. Drain excess fat if needed.
Sauté vegetables:
Add diced onion and green bell pepper. Sauté for about 3 to 4 minutes until softened. Stir in garlic and cook 1 minute more.
Combine sauces and seasoning:

Simmer:

Add cheese:
Remove from heat, then stir in 1 cup (115 g) of shredded cheddar cheese until melted and combined.
Top and broil:
Transfer mixture to a serving dish or oven-safe skillet and sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup (55 g) cheddar evenly on top.
Broil:
Optional: Broil for 2 to 3 minutes, until cheese is bubbly and lightly golden.
Garnish and serve:
