02 - 1 tablespoon salt (for pasta water)

04 - 3/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon whole milk
05 - 1/3 cup plus 1 tablespoon heavy cream
06 - 3/4 cup grated mozzarella
07 - 2/3 cup grated Parmesan
08 - 2/3 cup grated cheddar

# Directions:
01 - Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook until al dente according to package directions. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
02 - Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant but not browned.
03 - Pour in whole milk and heavy cream. Bring to a gentle simmer, then reduce heat to low.
04 - Gradually stir in mozzarella, Parmesan, and cheddar until fully melted and the sauce is smooth.
05 - Add freshly ground black pepper, optional nutmeg, and salt to taste. Stir to combine.
06 - Add drained spaghetti to the sauce. Toss thoroughly, adding reserved pasta water as needed to achieve a creamy texture.
