# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • Crispy on the outside, juicy inside, with none of the guilt that comes from deep frying.
  • The ranch seasoning gives every bite a zesty, herbaceous punch that keeps you reaching for more.
  • They come together in under an hour and use ingredients you probably already have on hand.
02 -
  • Don't crowd the baking sheet—overlapping mushrooms steam instead of crisp, and you'll end up with soggy bites.
  • Use enough oil or spray; without it, the panko won't turn that gorgeous golden brown you're looking for.
  • Flip them halfway through baking so both sides get evenly crispy and no one side burns.
03 -
  • Pat the mushrooms dry before coating—any excess moisture will prevent the breading from sticking properly.
  • Double the ranch seasoning and keep the extra in a jar for sprinkling on popcorn, roasted veggies, or even scrambled eggs.
  • If you like extra crunch, give the mushrooms a second light spray of oil halfway through baking.
