- Preheat your oven to 375°F. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- In a medium bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, basil, oregano, salt, and black pepper until thoroughly mixed.
- Spread 1 cup of marinara sauce evenly across the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
- Arrange half of the pizza rolls in a single, even layer over the marinara sauce.
- Dollop half of the prepared ricotta mixture over the pizza rolls. Sprinkle with 1 cup of shredded mozzarella and 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese.
- Repeat the layering process: spread the remaining marinara sauce, followed by the rest of the pizza rolls, the remaining ricotta mixture, and the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
- Cover the baking dish securely with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove the aluminum foil and continue baking for an additional 15 minutes, or until the top is bubbly and golden brown.
- Allow the dish to rest for 5-10 minutes before serving. Garnish with optional basil leaves and red pepper flakes.
